Finding treasures :)

Great start to day, big long run admiring the view & letting off steam!

Little bit distracted on way home by the local bunnies shop. I'm always going to go in & rarely do. Today was the day! Wow what a find! I had $20 in my pocket and I got it all for $16! Love it! Then I saw Mangoes in the fruit shop! Hooray! Summer is on it's way! So my last $4 instead of coffee went on the mango!

Later today I had a meltdown was a little medical testing saga (dodgy shoulder!) & then credit card saga! My gosh, I needed to recover and thankfully I came across a lindt cafe! Lucky me! Sometimes sweet things just calm the soul!

Dinner on & off to pick up our little dude!

What a great day of little adventures.

Life does get in the way :)

So that's where I've been pretty much in the thick of life and just embracing each day as it comes. Have been on some wonderful adventures and had some very special time with my precious family.
Now back to the discovery channel for me!
Enjoyed some great sunshine today, the modern art gallery & importantly lunch with my incredible husband at Jamie Olivers Italian. Wow super delicious!!!
Day of inspiration and pumping up the creative juices again.
Wish all are well :) look forward to blogging more.

Mission accomplished!

What a project! I have to laugh at my major imperfections! It was one of those "just give it a go & don't over think it". It's some pretty interesting sewing! For a first timer it was great to just get into it & work out what sewing machines are all about! There is also a real zen about it.

I look forward to joining a group & learning some finer details!!

Far from perfect! However I'm pleasantly surprised! Ok mmm coffee and let's keep sewing! Aim is really tonight to finish as tomorow I have a super busy day. :)

More planning then the big step!

Yesterday was abit of a house keeping day, and still thinking mmm how I'm going to pull this all together.
Today I've laid it out and locked in my plan of attack. So the only thing left to do is to get in a sew! I'm nervous about the amount of fabric and keeping straight lines!
Well tonight we will see!!
Hope everybody's Monday is kind. Mine started abit early & rough. Pleasantly surprised with a girlfriend who arrived with coffee & lunch what a precious gem!! Thank you Jane ;)
Now I'm feeling quite centered that my plan is going to get my sewing on track!
We have an awesome week ahead with an amazing event we have been waiting 8months for!! Will keep posted! ;)

Sick lil dude...

Our poor lil guy has been pretty sick all week & last night & today have been the worse. Sooo off to our fantastic Chiro at Bayside Chiropractic. Some drops and on our way to recovery. No sleep today, so no sewing as yet... That's ok I've been doing some next step planning!
I think the lil guy is having a marked improvement as he is climbing everything possible & chatting in his little harmonious ways!
Let's pray tonight brings some sleep & healing in our house :)

The project

About a year or more ago I thought I'd make a doona cover. I found some great fabric and then we moved house & then & then!

Now this actually coincides with an art project for my course. So off I go!

Well the best part of this is that working out the quickest most effective way to get the result with in a reasonable price to!

After realizing I didn't originally get enough fabric for the cover itself I struck upon a great buy of a doona cover & sheet set. Got to love myer crazy half price sales!

Getting started & keeping momentum!

Hello,
Mmm lost in translation again with lots going on. However that's what life is about :). So no need to inform of the itty gritty stuff that can turn u upside down but to share with you a project that I am going to complete in 6days well now I put it out there really that's heaps of time! I'm determined to work around the bumps in life & get it done. Back to my no excuses! :)

Okay I've been abit off radar or as I say "lost in translation"!
Lots going on sad stuff, happy stuff, hard stuff & lots of life stuff that's been too complex to put in words. However sometimes it's a matter of going with things trying to not decipher to much & trust that at some point you will just simply work it out... If that makes sense....

I had a fabulous job opportunity offered to me, which was an honor & then here comes the butt! Well reality and some real hard look at aspects of my life right now it's just not the time & deep down in my gut I could feel this. So I've not accepted what would have been a fantastic opportunity & decided to turn into another fantastic opportunity to really focus on another exciting project that I need to believe in myself & getting the wheels & wings on it!
A new look today thanks to Lou & Steven at Toni & Guy (Cronulla), I'm on my way! Must say these guys are awesome at hair :)

Loving Sunshine especially because...

We are on day 2 of no dummy! For all the families out there who have had to endure this one it's a definite mission!

I had some great advice from a one on one 3 hr session with a sleep nanny from www.nightnannies.com.au The nanny helped set me with a plan to follow & I think just talking it out and making a plan has already made all the difference. Of course I can't really give any specific as I realised how different every child is and situation. I turned to this service as I had been using so many different ideas but getting know where.

Thankfully the weather has been superb and we have been able to be out amongst and letting the little dude use up his energy!!

Also been very exciting creating my new creative space. I love hunting around on EBay for old retro furniture. I picked up a great desk $36! Needs some love but it will work in my space! Will add some pics soon!

Where paths take you

Today whilst out walking I was reflecting on lots of things in my life and felt excited about so many paths to be taken ahead. I was staring down this one and I thought a pic was in need. :)
Getting into training mode again and aiming for my 30mins cardio and 3 home sessions of Pilates and One class. I'm a procrastinator at times and really this is a simple exercise plan that doesn't really take much time & you get great results. So happy for my Pilates Trainer Julieanne from Wholesome Fitness.

Off now to get lost in some Creativity doing Art Projects. Deep breath you can create! ;)

Winter Skin fix!

I have to share this one as I have trialled it over a few weeks and my skin feels the best it has in a longgggg time! I've tried various serums and this one has been a definant winner.
The other bonus was the fact the lady working on the counter gave me this 10ml trial size to try! How fantastic, I will certainly go back to get more. So ladies & men if your skin needs a boost get a trial of this :). It's really refreshing to see people truly believe in their products. The other great thing is that it's Australian Made & Owned. Look forward to trying more of their range.

Week is under way now, Monday down . What a great day our lil dude and I had today. We got to hang out with friends and really soak up the glorious day. Was the revive we needed. Tomorrow sunny again we will be out there!

Rainy Days

Well it's certainly an indoor one today. Our lil dude was up tooo early and now is back asleep & of course I can't seem to just drift off. The house is chaos as lil dude deceided to pull apart cupboards this morning at some ungodly hour & I deceided to clean out my very weird sized pantry (but it's just a cupboard really!) however the issue here is I can never quite grasp what I have! So with stuff everywhere I also had some cooking shows going and now I am inspired to turn my starved lifeless kitchen into a space of organization, bliss & lots of delish! I love to cook & I think this will get me back in the game! I'll keep u posted!

Better get on with it! & the washing & the!!! ;)

Rainbows are following me :)

Yesterday I saw this rainbow and it gave me such a sense of peace & excitement for the magic around us. I kept remembering this throughout the last few days now and it's kept me real so to speak!
Another week nearly over and sometimes I look back at time & think of just how much u can fit in!
My class was so inspiring today, such a great space & energy. Our teacher is very talented & special we are very fortunate to have her.
Our little dude finally asleep & my confession is omg 2 cherry ripes! What the heck I never do that. Oh well bit of indulgence I enjoyed them! Naughty but yummy! Shouldn't watch masterchef when hungry & get suckered into those servo deals!

Rainbows

Just spent some lovely time in Orange (regional NSW) what a great place to go. We are lucky to have family there. So in saying that I was fortunate to take sometime to have a sewing lesson or should I say how to set up my new machine! It was actually really enjoyable & in a short time I was suprised by how much I learnt. All the ladies were so helpful. Hidden Talent was the name of the shop.

Also got to experience alot of Local produce at their monthly markets. The produce is seriously amazing. Lots of food weeks their & I know that there is a taste of Orange coming up in Bondi soon. I'll get back with the dates etc.

Back home today and lots of projects to continue. Very excited about working on my Doona Cover and Sewing things all together. Mmm nervous to about getting it straight!

Nite wish that everyone's weeks are moving along luvly :)

Oh and the rainbows we saw driving today were just magical. I always find along with butterflies they give a sign to me that everything is ok, at peace & a sense of excitement. ;)

Venus!

Wow it's was one of those magical cosmos things today & even better I got to see Venus! The owner of Allied Therapies had the telescope and a reflector board so you could see it! Perfect timing!
The moon tonight is incredible. I certainly have been put soaking up some moon beams and saying my affirmations!
Was a day of day dreaming and just enjoying being.
With this amazing Venus transit go forward with Love, Peace & Prosperity in everything you do.

Still before the storm

What a glorious morning! Knowing this weather was coming we got outside walking early this morn. After being caught in with sickness last week I'm up for every opportunity to be out this week. Without some outdoor activity for me I don't sleep well either! It's funny we realise our kids need lots of physical activity and they sleep well! But we need it to!

Balance in exercise is really such a need and brings your stress levels right down! However u get it..get it! Late at night even better ;)!

I ve been blogging in my head!

Everyday I think of what I am going to blog and then 5days have gone by...mmm no excuses really.

New week and thankfully this one has started with sunshine and no sickness! Actually sat down with my Tea Tonic Glew Tea and had time to really think out some things I need to do. I also got time to get some jobs done! So all in all it was a great Monday.

I'm still focussing on balancing exercise, nutrition, relaxation, motherhood, womanhood, marriage, love & a multitude of exciting projects. Ill have to say it really is one day at a time but I do feel a weight of sleep deprivation lifting off me which makes all of the above feel better balanced already. ;)

Talk of tea its time for one :) wish everyone a beautiful week full of little things that happen or you do that make your life happier, easier & magical ;)

Painting

I think the Glew Tea has been working with all this painting going on! For most, it would not look like much but for me it's a great achievement and the foundation for the course I'm doing. Mind u I am prepared that it may not all be right, however that is part of the process of learning! I have noticed one getting very frustrated with oneself when feeling like something is not perfect. This is certainly teaching me a great deal about myself.

It's my birthday today & my gosh mmm I'm 33! I'm enjoying my 30's I feel like it's the time everything becomes raw about yourself and it's up to you to embrace & love what you find.

My morning started with a toddler who deceided that it was party time at 3am and carried on to battle with me till 5.30am. Seriously frustrating as with my cold and need for sleep it just does not make for wanting to have an early morning tea party with the little dude! Then he slept in till 9am I had to wake him! Then he happily jumped out of my arms for daycare & not even look back! Well mmmm had a tear felt like a bad mummy for being frustrated thru night & then I thought get over it! It's your birthday so I'm at a beautiful cafe (Nuns Pool) enjoying Coffee!!! & planning out a lovely day! First thing grocery list then retail therapy list!! Thankfully I also took it upon myself to book a deep tissue massage so that will attack the tension spots & sort mummy out!!

Cold season

Oh oh here are the colds again.. Our lil dude first, now me! Yuk!

Thankfully we got in with our Chiro today and our little dude has had a marked improvement and I'm just heading to bed! I'm sure tomoro with good sleep I'll get my zing back!

Busy week lots of projects due so I stocked up on this great tea and it's keeping me together!!

Birthdays!

Today one of my dear friends had a baby boy! How exciting!!!

Birthdays are special. I'm looking forward to turning 33 next week and I have deceided to get as many girlfriends together and celebrate! Why not! I'm also going to reflect and set myself some little goals for the next year of my life. Treat it abit like new year!

The big one is looking after myself. This week I've realised when you are run down & sleep deprived you make the wrong choices so easily and you chase your tail. So again this week and this next year of my life I am really going to stop & pause & really listen deeper & harder to what it is I need to feel balanced and nourished. Now in saying all this I've just had a herbal tea and I'm off to bed. I have an app on my phone for mindfulness mediation & I recommend it! I am going to do 10mins then drift off into a deep sleep!!

The Sunshine & Crisp morning air!

Busy end of the week and I just sat down and realised it's Monday again! Have had a visit from one of my dearest old friends and really have enjoyed the girl time!

Her lil one is 5months and with mine it's been tag team this morning with very early rises & very tired mummy's! Now of course they have gone back to bed! Cheeky monkeys!

Yesterday we stayed in and enjoyed doing nothing as the rain was constant! It's relaxing doing nothing and with a good friend :) Today the sun is shining so time for some fresh air!

Surrounded by chaos!

Well there is only a so much u can fit into your day & then there is more!

Last few days have been squeezing in lots of things... I have a great deal of art school homework to fit in as I didnt have my listening ears turned on in the first place! Mmm mental note - whilst at school keep your mind there to!

Must say doing my painting at night has really chilled me out! And contributes to a good night sleep!

Had a great Pilates session & chiro today. Julieanne at Wholesome Fitness is my saving fitness & weight control guru! Now I am also lucky to have found Dr Brett Stevens at Bayside Chiropractic who is So knowledgeable and utilizes many practices to get u in order. It's a great relief to have the right people to help u get the results you need and treat the body with a wholistic & caring approach.

Best I get my house now in order so I have some room to paint!

Productive Day

Busy day lots achieved! Thankfully for my energy weapon from Bodyism it kept me moving! Great products that I'll continue to talk about.

Yay! The week is now underway and my paperwork is nearly in order & some cupboards to!

Lots of little & big goals this week so time to get some serious sleep and conquer on tomorrow! Praying to the sleep angels our little dude sleeps thru to!

Wish that everyone had a special moment to take in the wonderful mother they are or have or know.

My Little Dude made me a special card at Day Care that's all I needed & what it's all about.

Had a great day catching up with a dear friend and of course playing with my Little Dude in the park!

Motherhood is a wonderful privilege. Mmmm even with sleep deprivation & & & &!! But hey you wouldn't change it!

Great few days :)

Got myself into a little habit of blogging at this time of night & the other night I went out with some great gals for dinner & well poor blog got overlooked mmm for a few days...

Some highlights..our Lil dude has been much better and we have found a new local Chiropractor who specializes in Allergies & Kids. Had a very positive appt today. Will keep posted on this..

The new eating plan to re-energize and rid some wobbly bits kinda went ok but for some reason that lil switch went on (im dieting!) and aIl wanted to do was eat eat eat!! Oh well try & stick with moderation! I'm working up to a goal so when I get super serious I'll fill you in on my plan!

I had a great day at School on Thursday and realised that my brain really needs this! (especially when I had got the homework instructions so so wrong!) I'm hooked though and really excited as to what I'm going to discover & experience. Really looking forward to creating.

This weekend going to fire up the sewing machine and start to plan how I'm going to make a doona cover!

Got to catch up with some more girlfriends today. Geee girlfriends are a need! I love how we all talk a language that we just get, where we've been & where we are at.

Early Birthday Prez Yipee!

Spoilt by Sue with a new sewing machine!!! Very excited...today I have been creating my new sewing area!
I'm thinking the dining room table is going to be a busy place! Lots of art work for college to get going also. Oh well the quick clear before eating will have to be the plan for now...until of course I get a bigger house! I'm putting it out there!

I actually have no sewing experience so it is certainly going to be a domestic goddess adventure! To put it lightly!

My first project is a doona cover! Any tips or patterns please share! :)

What a week :)

Lots accomplished this week. Lovely weekend with beautiful weather.

Big week ahead. Getting back into training and healthier eating choices. Need a refresh & revamp of the body!
Will share my steps along the way.

For now I have to go & get a good night sleep and be refreshed for the new week ahead.

Oh my gosh the sunset was simply breathtaking and to coincide with my week it just reiterates how simple pleasures are just so good :)

Looking out my kitchen window

I love this little spot in our place because I can see the day and I tend to daydream. Well especially seen as Im usually at the kitchen sink! What better place for my favorite place to be! I try and get in my zen when I'm doing my chores and just enjoy the time being with oneself! Sometimes it really is bliss...sometimes it just auto pilot and other times it's frantic! Today I'm aiming to stick with bliss.

Even more excited!

Hooray! This course is for me! The beauty of this is that it's all about discovering your creativity & no pressure to know exactly what you are going to do! I can feel already I am going to learn so much about my self on so many levels. I feel really fortunate to have this opportunity in my life now. I am really glad I've taken the plunge! I am very thankful to my husband, mother in law Sue & my aunt Anna for the great encouragement and belief in me to do this. :) xxx

So a great day, now I am celebrating with some delicious conscious chocolate. Because I just love it and any excuse really! You got to try it!
Especially with red wine!!

So excited!

Made into the train, little dude happy and looking much better, dog very unhappy to be kicked out so early, car kinda in a parking slot that may not permit my time but hey it's another beautiful morning and I wanted to enjoy a coffee & croissant on the train!!
Local Cafe - Ham - delish! I noticed they are doing fundraising for leukemia today I believe it's important to give where you can. Even small change can go a long way.

So...now on a new creative adventure! Looking forward to meeting my teachers & class & getting stuck into it!

Breath of fresh Air

Yay! The sun was out again today! This is heaven for me, as whilst we are trying to figure out the cause of our little dudes frequent colds no wind or major weather changes helps!

So Mitey Fresh consultant came out today and he was full of knowledge and great direction to get started. Phew my house was not as bad as I thought! However wool carpet all through the house is not helping. A few little tips I picked up were very helpful. I will put all their details up and link with their blog. To be honest I can't right now as I'm simply knackered and heading to nite! nite! Big day tomorro starting my course in foundation of design! Which I will also fill more in later!

Another Magical Day :)

A goodnight sleep went down a treat & to make things better the weather was superb And it's the first day of may, for our family this is a significant time :)
Our little dude & I had a great day together and even our lovely dog got to get out and have some fun.
Another day of achievements and really enjoying simple pleasures. I'm going to share those as often we forget to marvel in these.
Firstly -our little dude woke me by chatting away in his cot. That's such a lovely sound to wake to. He also seemed alot better.
Secondly - the fact that I felt much better to!
Thirdly - a beautiful walk lovely fresh air, the sound of the ocean & a play in the park.
Fourth - good coffee from our local cafe. So good thanks Grind.
Fifth - running into some friends for a quick chat.
Sixth - finding all matching socks in a load of washing!!
And really the list could go on!
Life is so much better when we stop and revel in simple pleasures. Well that's what I find :)
I'm looking forward to meeting a Allergy Consultant tomorrow from Mitey Fresh will be very interesting.

"The Famous List"

The week has started with more sickness in our house, however I was determined to work through "the list".

Finally tonight sitting with a cup of tea & now reflecting "the list". Let's see how did we go.

1.Chiropractor & Naturopath appointment for little dude & I. - TICK
Have to say if you can find a chiro that does both it's a great benefit.
2.Father in law out of hospital & great support in place - TICK
3.Get started on the quest of possible allergies & solutions for our little dude. - TICK
The poor thing has been constantly sick with head colds etc. We have tried so many angles. Today I found a place called Mitey Fresh and they basically assess your house and give solutions. They also have all natural products and chemical free cleaning to rid dust mite etc. I have a booking this week so I will follow up with how it all goes. Maybe someone else out there might have some tips or info to share..

All in all a productive day.
Now the household is dosed in herbs & realigned along with some quality sleep , I'm sure tomoro will bring a great pick up in health and energy. :) We need it as there is too many good things to do!!

New Week, New Things, No excuses

This week I'm going to get blogging. It may be all over the place but I need it.

The past month has been yet another rollercoaster BUT I'm very quickly realizing just how many excuses one can make as life is always some dimension of a rollercoaster!

Magical Days

Wow what a glorious morning and day ahead. Today where I live, going to breathe in the natural beauty that surrounds me. A day to be on my own and recharge. I'm feeling more grounded already. The universe always provides.

Earth Hour

The Sunshine after the storm

First real week of blogging got lost in life. Our precious little dude was really unwell and it was my focus to get him better. It was also what I call a storm last week, kinda started with the windy day and powered on full strength. However we survived and with the Sunshine has brought a new lease on life and a great feeling of learning some lessons about oneself.

Lots of exciting things are brewing and I am looking forward to a blogging rhythm and sharing the developments.

Windy Days

Continuing today with flowing positivity in all thoughts and movements. It's amazing when you truly be mindful of this, how your day can flow with ease. Yesterday I was faced with some considerable unexpected challenges & reflecting back I was thankful for the goal I set for the day as it kept me on track!!

Today is windy yet bright & sunny. My little dude is teething & fighting a yucky cold so it's a indoor day. The Wind seems to make me feel frustrated easily. SOoo today we were fortunate to go on a mini adventure to Free Range Living in Kurnell (NSW) & purchase some Embroidery thread, & they had wonderful beautiful fresh breads, croissants & hot cross buns! We are set for the day!

I had been at Free Range Living earlier in the week and did my first Embroidery class. In fact really the first craft class ever. Was very enjoyable and inspirational to see all these lovely women embracing such an old craft. I just loved it! Now I have an exciting project to complete. I'll keep you posted. Check out Kristen Doran Designs, that's who Created the prints that we were embroidering. Very inspiring. Thank you Kristen.

Thinking Positive - changing thought patterns

Today my goal is to think with an open positive mind & be connected with all my actions & thoughts. Then acknowledge them and if needed covert them to something positive. For me It's easy to be caught in the muddle of life (sleepless nights - teething toddler etc. Etc.!! ) But life does carry on and Ive found it's just to easy to loose precious days!

My Affirmation today as I am working on Me :) - I love, accept, respect and trust me. I love me all the time.

My other key thought at the moment is "Little Steps" & "Appreciating the tiny stuff".
